Vintage Louis Vuitton Gentleman’s Steamer Trunk
Here is excellent Louis Vuitton Gentleman's Steamer Trunk. It is in superb condition for a piece of this age (circa 1940) and covered in the desirable hand-painted monogram pattern with extremely strong pattern. It has a few bumps and sticker marks from travel. This piece has top-of-the-line brass and lozine leather trim. The original leather handles easily support the trunk’s weight. All hardware is in good working order (no key). The interior is clean and fresh with signs of only light usage. The interior is complete with a full length divided shirt tray on top (divider removable), and full length storage tray with toiletry holders underneath. There are missing handles or strap hasp. Beautiful quilted lid liner. Label #054886. Original owner’s initials A. L. S. on ends. Roller casters on base. Dimensions are 44" long x 22.5" deep x 23" tall. A nice usable size that really makes a statement.
