Vintage and Antique Trunks
Why Buy From Us?
While antique and vintage Louis Vuitton and Goyard trunks are not expected to look new, they are expected to look right. We don't use magic words like "Amazing" in our descriptions or give history lessons on the Louis Vuitton Company (they make books for that). Our website post are just honest assessments of the best antique and vintage Louis Vuitton & Goyard trunks you can buy.
What we describe is what you get. We don’t leave out surprises when it comes to the status and integrity of the trunk, which is so common with eBay and sellers who never have to worry about seeing you again.
We always use pictures of all 6 sides along with the interior and a complete description, so you know just what you're buying.
We’ve been in the business of selling these vintage and antique Louis Vuitton & Goyard trunks since 1995. Over the years we’ve perfected our buying and selling process to create a smooth experience all the way through.
Currently available trunks are always open for viewing by appointment only. To schedule a time please contact us. We are currently sold out, but keep checking the website for new arrivals or let us know if you are looking for a particular model.
Condition
Generally accepted issues are bumps, bruises, mild scratches, light stains, minor wear to canvas or leather (no holes), replaced leather handle holders or handles (these must be dimensionally correct to the piece), and replaced tacks (factory marked). All of which are communicated in our descriptions to our buyers.
We may decline on items for sale if a trunk has: major eyesores, missing canvas or major pattern wear, bad stains, replaced hardware or canvas (that was not produced by the maker), and missing leather trim. These are not the type of trunks we sell.
Beware of old stickers, they did not come on the trunks and do not add to the value (unless it belonged to JFK, etc.), but actually devalue it, contrary to the beliefs of many unknowledgeable dealers and sellers. They are also sometimes used to cover missing canvas and other eyesores. A good rule of thumb with any Louis Vuitton or Goyard Trunk is, if it didn't come on the original trunk, it shouldn't be there.
